Scrubs' Casing function transforms your data based on capitalization settings that you choose. Data can be in English, French or mixed.

Data Elements That Can Be Cased:

• Company names
• An individual's name - honorific, first, middle and last name, suffix professional title
• Street addresses
• City
• Province or State
• General - fields not of the above types that require basic upper and lower casing

Settings

Casing/Capitalization

• Proper - The first letter of the sentence is capitalized, with the rest being lower case.
• Upper – All letters are capitalized.
• Preserve – Punctuate or abbreviate data elements while keeping the current casing.

Punctuation

• Add – Inserts periods for abbreviations when missing.
• Remove – Deletes the period from abbreviations
• Preserve - Maintains existing punctuation.

Abbreviations

Full – Changes abbreviated elements to the correct form e.g. St. to Street.

French Accents

• Add – Converts English words to accented French equivalent.
• Remove – Converts all accented words into their English representation.
