Scrubs is a free module, currently provided with Pre Post Office, that delivers a range of useful core mail list cleansing features.

Address Parsing - Parses any number of address lines and isolates address, city, province, state and postal or zip code.

Street Parsing - Splits a street address into street elements e.g. direction, unit or street number.

Gender Coding - Identifies a person's gender based on their honorific, first or full name.

Full Name Parsing - Splits a individual's name into name components e.g. title, first, middle and last name.

Casing - Upper lower or punctuate addresses, individual or company data elements.

Record Dumps - Allows you to select any number of fields and perform an Nth, Random or field sample record selection.

Tally Reports - Also know as distribution, frequency or count reports.

 

 

Because not everyone needs the full functionality that Pre Post Office provides, we've made it really easy for you to select the modules you need.

The core Scrubs module is free to help you enhance and clean up your data (without restrictions).

When you need functions provided in other modules, there's no further download - you can request a trial period or just activate the module you need by purchasing a simple activation code.

The Address Parser can handle any number of address fields. These fields can contain address elements in any position.

The Street Address Parsing task allows you to select multiple street addresses and isolate street elements.

  • Street Number
  • Street Name
  • Street Type
  • Street Direction
  • Unit Identifier

  • PO Box Identifier

Gender Coding
Gender From Name

The Gender Coding task will append a code to a field in your input table. It will even identify company names.

Codes can be determined from three possible field types:

  • Honorific - Mr, Mrs or Rabbi
  • First Name
  • Full Name - The name field does not have to be parsed into it's components. The application will parse on the fly and use honorific if it exists then the first name.

The Full Name Parsing task allows you to select a data field that contains an individual's full name and split out name elements.

Name Elements That Can Be Isolated:

  • Honorific - e.g. Mr, Mrs or Madam
  • First name

Upper Lower Casing
Casing

Scrubs' Casing function transforms your data based on capitalization settings that you choose. Data can be in English, French or mixed. French accents can be added or removed.

Data Elements That Can Be Cased:

  • Company names
  • An individual's name - honorific, first, middle and last name, suffix professional title
  • Street addresses
  • City
  • Province or State
  • General - data elements not of the above types that require basic upper and lower casing

QC reports
Record Dumps

The Record Dumps task allow you to produce a smart, formatted report using selected data fields.

Types of Record Selection Possible:

  • Nth - An even sampling of records from the beginning, middle and end of the table.
  • Random - Randomized selection of records.
  • Field Sample - Used in conjunction with a field name showing a sample of each value.
  • All - Entire file.
